GTA Online is giving LS Car Meet regulars three new cars to experiment with. The Annis Elegy Retro, Invetero Coquette D5, and Vapid Dominator GTT can now receive Drift Tuning, adding three very different options for players who want to spend more time sliding around Los Santos. With boosted Drift Race rewards running alongside the update, this is a good week to build a new drift setup. Players comparing progression options may also come across GTA 5 Boosting while looking for GTA Online account services.
Annis Elegy Retro
The Elegy Retro is probably the easiest starting point for players coming from the tuner side of GTA Online. It feels light and responsive, making it easier to learn the basics of drifting without constantly fighting the car.
• Good for technical tracks with lots of corners
• Easier to control through linked turns
• A solid choice for learning throttle and steering control
Invetero Coquette D5
The Coquette D5 brings a different feel to the lineup. Its sports-car shape and American styling make it stand out at the LS Car Meet, while Drift Tuning gives it the ability to break traction and carry longer slides. It may take a few runs to get comfortable with its weight transfer, but that learning curve is part of the fun. Players searching for ways to speed up their GTA Online progress may also encounter buy GTA 5 Boosting as a related service.
Vapid Dominator GTT
If you prefer muscle cars, the Dominator GTT is the obvious pick. Its strong engine and heavier body make it feel very different from the Elegy Retro. Too much throttle can send the rear end around quickly, so smooth inputs are important. Once you get used to its power, however, the car can produce some seriously satisfying drifts.
What Drift Tuning Changes
Drift Tuning is designed to make controlled slides easier to start and maintain. Instead of trying to keep maximum grip through every corner, you can use throttle and steering to manage the rear of the car while carrying speed.
For the best results, spend a few minutes testing the car before joining a competitive race:
• Practice initiating a slide before a corner.
• Ease off the throttle if the rear rotates too far.
• Use small steering corrections instead of sudden movements.
• Focus on clean exits rather than chasing the longest possible drift.
Make the Most of the Bonus Week
The timing of the new Drift Tuning options is especially useful because Drift Races pay 2X GTA$, RP, and LS Car Meet Rep through September 2. From August 28–30, selected Drift and Transform Races go up to 6X GTA$ and RP, giving you a short window to test a new build while earning much better rewards. Players interested in faster progression can also find cheap GTA 5 Boosting among the options discussed by the GTA Online community.
Extra Rewards to Pick Up
• Complete three Drift Races to finish the Weekly Challenge and collect GTA$100,000.
• Win a Drift Race with the Übermacht Cypher to unlock the Glitch Camo drift livery.
• Try the three newly supported cars before spending too much time tuning one setup.
• Use the LS Car Meet Test Track to get a feel for the handling.
Which Drift Car Should You Pick?
For a balanced and approachable drift experience, start with the Elegy Retro. Pick the Coquette D5 if you want something less conventional, or go with the Dominator GTT if big power and muscle-car slides are your thing. Whichever car you choose, the current race bonuses make this a good time to head to the LS Car Meet and put it through its paces.
If you're also exploring account progression services, GTA 5 Online Money for sale is another term you may encounter, but the new Drift Tuning cars give you a straightforward way to earn and practice in-game.
